Call for Papers
Building on the success of our inaugural volume of Imagining SoTL (IS) in 2021, we invite all Banff Symposium presenters from 2010-2019 to contribute to a special issue in celebration of the first ten years. Imagining SoTL Volume 2 will be published in 2022 and will be a focal point of our tenth anniversary celebration in Banff. Our theme is Looking Back/Looking Forward, and we encourage you to revisit work presented at or inspired by the Banff Symposium. We also encourage you to consider where your SoTL work will go next. Examples of potential manuscripts might include: 1. reflections, updates, or new directions of research presented at a previous Symposium; 2. essays or reflections on where SoTL has come as a movement and where it is headed.
We will publish a selection of original research contributions and commentaries on the scholarship of teaching and learning emerging from the Symposium, 2010-2019. These may be research articles, reflective essays, calls for collaboration, reports on SoTL in practice, or other scholarly works that investigate teaching and learning in higher education. Manuscripts should explore an aspect of teaching and learning, be grounded in context and the literature, be methodologically sound, and contribute to the SoTL conversation. IS aims for high quality and values methodological richness and variety from a diversity of perspectives. Submissions will be double-blind peer-reviewed.
For detailed author guidelines, please visit our submission page.
The deadline for submission is June 7, 2021.
