Milena Radzikowska, PhD, MDes (she/her)
Dr. Radzikowska has 75+ co-authored publications and presentations on data visualization, HCI, and information design. She is the co-author of Visual Interface Design for Digital Cultural Heritage (Routledge Publishing, 2011) and Design and the Digital Humanities: A Handbook for Mutual Understanding (Intellect, 2022), and the co-editor of Prototyping Across the Disciplines: Designing Better Futures (Intellect, 2021), Networked Feminisms: Activist Assemblies and Digital Practices (Lexington Books, 2021), and Digital Performative Assemblies: Feminist Protest and Resistance (Lexington Books, 2023). She has designed 36+ interactive tools and interfaces and, in 2018, won the prestigious Design Educator of the Year Award from the Registered Graphic Designers of Canada. Dr. Radzikowska is a Full Professor and the Chair of Information Design at Mount Royal University.

Guilherme Meyer, PhD (he/him)
Dr. Meyer is a Professor at Universidade do Vale do Rio Dos Sinos (UNISINOS), a designer, an educator, and a researcher. He is associated with the Post Graduate Program in Design at University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos – UNISINOS, in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He also is visiting professor at PUCE in the Maestría de Diseño de Productos, in Ecuador. He earned a PhD in Design from PUC-Rio, in 2010 and has a background in Design, Anthropology and Science and Technology Studies. His research includes thinking design in the Anthropocene, and experimental prototyping practice as a form of knowledge. Currently he is a visiting scholar at Georgia Tech.
Naureen Mumtaz, PhD, MDes (she/her)
Dr. Mumtaz is an Assistant Professor of Information Design in the Faculty of Business and Communication Studies at the Mount Royal University, Calgary. She holds an Interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Design Studies and Education, and a Master of Design in Visual Communication Design from the University of Alberta. Her research areas are at the intersections of critical design and teaching and learning in higher education. She employs design-based participatory research methods for informing community-responsive curricula and their relation to complex social justice issues, such as intercultural understanding and cultural pedagogies in higher education communities.
Stan Ruecker, PhD, MDes (he/him)
Dr. Ruecker has 5 university degrees and has been a design professor for 20 years. Prior to that, he was a design consultant for 10, and before that he was a computer programmer. He loves design, designers, the process, and the outcomes—the whole shebang. He currently lives in Medellin, Colombia: the beautiful and friendly city of perpetual spring.
Brianna I. Wiens, PhD (she/her)
Dr. Wiens is an Assistant Professor in English Language and Literature at the University of Waterloo, Canada. Her research program examines how people use media in critical and creative ways to foster community and speak back to power. Dr. Wiens explores how we build community through digital technology while negotiating its complex power dimensions, with overarching research goals to: (1) highlight equitable alternatives to normative media practices; (2) amplify the work of racialized, queer, disabled, and other equity-deserving groups; and (3) embrace multiple forms of expertise, knowledge, and lived experience.
